Boys & Girls Clubs of Western Pennsylvania (BGCWPA) is seeking an Assistant Preschool Educator to support high-quality early childhood programming for ages 3–5 at the Estelle S. Campbell Clubhouse in Lawrenceville.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Education or related field.
Minimum of three (3) years of experience working with preschool-aged children.
Knowledge of child development and developmentally appropriate practices.
Strong classroom management and positive behavior support skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
Proficiency with Google Workspace and basic technology applications.

Responsibilities

Assist Lead Preschool Teacher in implementing developmentally appropriate activities aligned with PA standards.
Prepare classroom materials, learning centers, and daily activities.
Reinforce learning through small group instruction and guided play.
Support development across social-emotional, language, math, science, arts, and motor domains.
Maintain a positive classroom environment and routines.
Engage families through communication and events.
Document children's progress and participate in assessments.
