The City and County of Denver is seeking an experienced Welder for the Infrastructure Delivery Division's Bridge repair team. The role involves in-house maintenance on DOTI-owned bridges and collaboration with a small crew to extend bridge life while ensuring public safety.

The ideal candidate will have at least two years of journey-level welding experience, read blueprints, and work well under pressure. This is an on-site, four-day, 10-hour shift with overtime opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of journey-level welding experience in maintenance or repair.
• Strong teamwork and self-motivation; able to work with minimal supervision.
• Must read and interpret technical welding information and guidance to assist crew.

Responsabilités

• Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions.
• Plan layouts from sketches and ensure parts are secured and aligned.
• Inspect for defects and ensure workmanship meets specifications.
• Maintain safety practices and use protective equipment.
