Job summary

Parametrix in the Southwest Transportation team seeks a Structures CAD Technician to develop plans and drawings for bridges and other transportation structures, supporting safe, reliable infrastructure in the communities we serve. The role is hybrid, potentially supporting across the company including California, Nevada, Utah, Arizona, New Mexico, Oregon, Idaho and Washington offices.

An associate degree in engineering technology or related field and 2+ years CAD design experience are required,

Qualifications

• 2+ years CAD design or drafting experience preferred.
• Proficiency in MicroStation or Civil 3D; OpenRoads or InRoads is beneficial.
• Experience on transportation, bridge, or structural projects preferred.
• Ability to translate engineering markups into clear drawings.

Responsibilities

• Develop CAD plans, details, and layouts for bridges and other structures.
• Prepare and revise plan sheets based on engineering direction and drawings.
• Use MicroStation, Civil 3D, OpenRoads Designer, and InRoads to create project drawings.
• Coordinate with engineers and designers to ensure accuracy and quality.
