Job summary

Stinger Bridge & Iron in Arizona is seeking Welders/Fitters to join a safety‑sensitive team. You will perform layout and fit up from blueprints and weld with Dual Shield, MIG, SMAW and Sub-Arc processes on structural fabrications.

Candidates must read shop and design drawings, certify in relevant processes, and have the ability to lead a crew of fabricators; pre-employment testing applies; equal employment opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• SMAW experience required.
• Able to certify with any process in any position.
• Able to read blueprints including AWS weld symbols.
• Ability to lead a crew of fabricators.

Responsibilities

• Perform layout and fit up from blueprints, fillet welds.
• Utilize Dual Shield, MIG, SMAW and Sub-Arc procedures.
• Weld preparation and clean up.
• Cut, cope, drill and fabricate parts from blueprints.
• Understand fabrication and erection standards and procedures.
• Know AWS D1.1 and D1.5 codes is a plus.
• Read and interpret shop and design blueprint drawings.
