Job summary

1st St NW Technical Staffing is seeking a Structural Engineer for a direct-hire position with an established engineering consulting firm in Minnesota. The role involves designing bridges, performing structural calculations, and producing construction documents using AutoCAD.

The ideal candidate holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering, has EIT or PE registration, and at least one year of structural design experience. AutoCAD and MathCAD experience are preferred, with interest in bridge design a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering.
• EIT or PE registration.
• 1+ year of structural design/engineering experience.
• AutoCAD training or experience preferred.
• MathCAD experience or training a plus.
• Experience or interest in bridge design.

Responsibilities

• Design prestressed concrete, reinforced concrete, steel, prefabricated steel truss, and timber bridges for DOT and county projects.
• Prepare structural calculations using MathCAD
• Create bridge construction documents using AutoCAD
