Job summary

Thompson Engineering in the United States is seeking experienced PTI-certified Bridge Inspectors to perform inspection, QA, and documentation on post-tensioned and prestressed bridge construction projects. Candidates should have extensive field experience with post-tensioning systems and be able to independently inspect installation, stressing, anchorage systems, ducts, grout operations, and related activities.

PTI Level 2 is required; Level 3 preferred.

Qualifications

• Current PTI Level 2 Multistrand & Grouted PT Inspector certification.
• PTI Level 3 certification preferred where applicable to project requirements.
• Minimum 5 years bridge/post-tensioning inspection or QA/QC experience.
• Experience inspecting post-tensioned or prestressed concrete structures.
• Ability to read structural drawings and applicable standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform field inspections of post-tensioned bridge construction and rehabilitation activities.
• Inspect installation of multistrand and grouted post-tensioning systems.
• Observe stressing operations and document procedures and records.
• Prepare daily inspection reports and quality records.
• Coordinate with contractors, engineers, owners, and testing agencies.
