Job summary

AECOM in Providence, RI seeks a Senior Bridge Inspector Team Lead to oversee field inspections, mentor staff, and ensure compliance with RIDOT and FHWA standards. Responsibilities include supervising inspection teams, conducting load rating analyses, and coordinating with vendors and clients on complex bridge projects.

The role requires a PE license in RI, a civil/structural engineering degree, and significant bridge inspection experience with leadership capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil/structural engineering required with six years of experience or equivalent.
• PE license in the State of Rhode Island required.
• Experience as a team leader / supervisor of bridge inspectors.

Responsibilities

• Performs field inspections per RIDOT Bridge Inspection Manual and FHWA standards.
• Supervises team members and access/equipment vendors.
• Work at heights, on ladders, scaffolding and aerial lifts.
• Work in confined spaces, near live traffic, water, or adverse weather.
• Work overnight including in railroad right-of-way.
• Prepares inspection reports and performs QA reviews.
• Bridge analyses and load rating calculations including 3D FEM modeling as needed.
• Bridge rehabilitation plan/document development as needed.
