This position primarily supports bridge and tunnel inspection projects, including routine, in-depth, and special inspections in accordance with applicable state and federal requirements. The Engineer III is responsible for assisting in the planning, execution, and documentation of inspections, including preparation of field notes, defect identification, and development of repair recommendations.
The role includes performing and supporting as-inspected load ratings using established methodologies and software, as well as assisting in the evaluation of structural capacity and condition. The Engineer III works closely with Project Managers and Team Leaders to support inspection program delivery, report preparation, and client coordination.
This position also involves responding to emergency inspection requests, including rapid condition assessments following incidents or structural concerns, and supporting the development of immediate repair or stabilization recommendations.
The Engineer III applies standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria across a range of inspection and rehabilitation projects. Responsibilities may also include mentoring junior staff, reviewing work products, and contributing to the continuous improvement of inspection and data management processes.
As part of the team, you will contribute to the successful delivery of inspection and asset management services for a diverse portfolio of transportation infrastructure clients.

The approximate pay range for New Jersey is $91,710.82 - $156,485.61. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting.
