Job summary

GFT is seeking a Bridge Inspection Project Manager to lead field inspections and reporting for bridges across Florida DOT Districts 1 and 7, coordinating schedules and deliverables with a diverse team.

The role requires a PE license (or eligibility within 3 months), strong leadership, and expertise in bridge inspection, load ratings, and construction documentation. A hybrid Tampa, FL position offers engagement in resilient transportation projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an accredited college/university.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Florida or ability to obtain within 3 months.
• 15 years of bridge inspection experience or equivalent.
• Strong leadership and project-management capabilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead field inspections and completion of inspection reports for bridges across Florida DOT Districts 1 and 7.
• Oversee inspection schedules, report reviews, and coordination of project tasks.
• Manage a diverse team of subconsultants and staff engineers.
• Provide mentorship, conduct regular status meetings, and manage budgets and resources.
• Serve as a Confirming Engineer to sign final inspection reports when needed.
