Location

This position can be based in Westlake, TX (Fort Worth) or Raleigh, NC.

Responsibilities

• Lead and perform engineering design tasks; coordinate with CADD teams to develop plans, specifications, and estimates for bridges, walls, and minor structures (culverts, inlet structures, etc.) for current projects, including Design/Build and new pursuits.
• Understand technical requirements and apply engineering principles to develop solutions.
• Ensure compliance with design standards, codes, and contract documents.
• Participate in technical meetings; strategize solutions for complex technical problems.
• Identify technical differentiators and develop schemes for key project pursuits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Structural or Civil Engineering (Masters preferred).
• 5+ years’ experience in structural/bridge engineering design.
• PE license is required.
• Strong knowledge of structural engineering principles.
• Experience with designing various bridge types in concrete and steel, wall systems, and minor structures.
• Experience with Design-Build or alternative delivery methods is preferred, with an interest in working on such projects.
• Proficiency with engineering design software (e.g., CSiBridge, MIDAS, PGSuper, Microstation, AutoCAD Civil 3D, InRoads, Openroads Designer).
• Knowledge of AASHTO LRFD, AISC, ACI, and other North American design codes.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Willingness to travel as required.
