Job summary

• Inspection Team Leadership: Serve as the Team Leader for NBIS bridge safety inspections. Direct field operations, manage safety protocols, and mentor junior engineers during site visits.
• Structural Design: Lead the design and analysis for new bridges. Ensure all designs comply with AASHTO LRFD and AREMA Manual for Railway Engineering.
• Inspection Team Leadership: Qualified Team Leader for NBIS inspections; mentor field staff and oversee safety requirements during site visits.

This role is designed for a structural expert who can support the design of complex new structures under AASHTO LRFD and AREMA specifications, while also serving as a certified Team Leader for NBIS bridge inspections.

Qualifications

• Education: B.S. in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Experience: 8-15 years of progressive experience in bridge design and inspection.
• Licensure: Illinois Professional Engineer, P.E. required
• Certifications:
  • Completion of NHI Course 130055, Safety Inspection of In-Service Bridges
  • Current IDOT-Qualified Bridge Inspection Team Leader status.
• Technical Expertise:
  • Proven track record designing new bridges according to AASHTO and AREMA standards.
  • High proficiency in AASHTOWare BrR, LARSA 4D, and MicroStation, OpenBridge.

Compensation Range: $104,402.58 - $119,317.24
