Job summary

HNTB Corporation in Houston, TX is seeking an Engineering Designer to assist in producing and modifying design calculations, reports, plans and specifications for diverse infrastructure projects.

You will develop conceptual and detailed designs, support project execution with current drawing tools, and work with project teams to deliver quality deliverables on schedule. A Bachelor’s in Engineering with relevant experience is required, with preference for an MEng or EIT certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 2 years of relevant experience, or Master's degree with 1 year.
• Demonstrated proficiency in engineering, geometric and algebraic principles.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with MicroStation and AutoCad or equivalent software.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work within the schedule and hours provided.
• Responsible for preparation and/or modification for select portions of project reports, plans, designs, and calculations.
• Develops project quantities and assists with development of cost estimates.
• Assists engineering teams with organization and administrative support of design files.
• Able to self-sufficiently complete various tasks and duties including but not limited to research, data collection, field investigations, development, and design of projects.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
