Qualifications
2 - 5 years of experience.
Registered as an Engineer in Training (EIT).
Familiarity with AASHTO Bridge Design Specifications is desired.
Familiarity with TxDOT standards and manuals.
Responsibilities
Design and load rating of simple and/or continuous span prestressed bridges.
Design and load rating of simple and/or continuous span steel bridges.
Design of retaining wall and sign support structures.
Skills
Strong working knowledge of MS Office
Design and detailing experience with prestressed concrete
Design and detailing experience with reinforced concrete
Design and detailing experience with structural steel
Experience with MicroStation
Education
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an ABET program
Master's degree in civil engineering from an ABET accredited program
Tools
Structural analysis and design software
