Job summary

Egis BLN USA Inc. (Egis U.S.) is hiring a Civil Engineer with a structural focus to join our growing North America team of engineers, architects and planners.

You will design bridges and highway structures, perform analyses, and prepare drawings and cost estimates to support project success. Join a collaborative environment backed by global resources and opportunities to grow with cutting-edge infrastructure projects across the United States.

Qualifications

  • Transcript must be submitted with resume.
  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with structural emphasis.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD and/or bridge design software.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Prestressed concrete knowledge preferred.
  • Knowledge of bridges and highway structures design preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Design and plan in accordance with design specifications for bridges.
  • Conduct structural analysis of highway structures.
  • Prepare structural designs and contract documents including drawings, specifications, and estimates.
  • Assist in preparing project budgets and schedules.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Design and plan in accordance with applicable design specifications. Projects may include various bridge types such as steel plate girder, prestressed concrete girder and reinforced concrete slab structures.
  • Conduct structural analysis to ensure the strength and safety of highway structures
  • Prepare structural designs and contract documents including drawings, specifications, and estimates
  • Participate in preparing project budgets and schedules
  • Perform calculations for designing bridges and transportation structures using AutoCAD and/or specialized bridge design software
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
  • A copy of transcripts must be submitted with resume
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering with a structural major or emphasis
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD and/or specialized bridge design software
  • Ability to communicate efficiently and effectively with co-workers and clients, both in verbal and written form
  • Knowledge of Prestressed Concrete is preferred
  • Knowledge of layout and design of bridges and highway structures is preferred
