Job summary

Johnson County Public Works is seeking a Bridge Crew Specialist to perform skilled work in the construction, maintenance, and repair of bridges and related road projects. You will operate a range of equipment, read plans, and support emergency response and winter operations as needed.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, experience on roads and bridges, and a Class A CDL with tanker endorsement. Overtime and after-hours availability may be required to keep roads passable during

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of experience on roads and bridges projects.
• Class A CDL with tanker endorsement.
• Three years of experience on roads and bridges projects (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Independently perform skilled bridge/culvert construction, maintenance, and repair tasks.
• Operate and maintain heavy equipment; inspect vehicles; support emergency response.
• Assist with road maintenance, erosion control, and roadside vegetation upkeep.
