Job summary

The Middlesex Corporation is seeking a Civil Superintendent to lead field planning and management for bridge construction projects in Meriden, CT. This role ensures quality workmanship, adherence to safety policies, and strict schedule compliance while coordinating with the Project Manager, subcontractors, and field crews.

Responsibilities include overseeing labor/equipment time sheets, daily reports, and maintaining a three-week look-ahead schedule to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Experience in scheduling, ordering, field supervision, quality control, and production of all phases of bridge construction.
• OSHA 10 certified.
• B.S. in Civil Construction preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Organize and plan the job with the Project Manager and assist as required.
• Direct oversight of time sheets for labor and equipment, and daily reports with quantities.
• Develop and maintain client, subcontractor and team member relationships.
• Maintain and manage the overall bridge schedule.
• Review crew productivity and goals daily.
• Enforce quality control and safety policies on all construction aspects.
• Ensure work is completed on time per project schedule.
• Submit weekly accountability reports and look-ahead schedules.
