Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Full-Time Construction Manager/Field Engineer for our Cincinnati, OH office to lead bridge construction activities and oversee field operations. You will coordinate with the Owner, Contractor, and Designer to ensure safety, quality and project success.

The role requires extensive experience with civil construction, strong contract knowledge, and hands-on use of project management tools. This position emphasizes proactive communication and problem-solving across stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Prequalification as Construction Engineer Level 1/Construction Manager with ODOT.
• Engineer-In-Training with Kentucky Board of Licensure.
• ACI Level I Certification and related field tech qualifications.
• Ability to read and understand contract documents.
• Knowledge of applicable codes, standards, and materials.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Commitment to health, safety, and anti-harassment policies.
• Valid driver's license (or plan to obtain within 3 months).

Responsibilities

• Manage construction administration including change orders and field issues.
• Oversee inspection, QC, material sampling, and field/lab testing.
• Facilitate decision-making with real-time data and manage RFIs and design changes.
• Utilize AASHTOWare, Procore and other software for documentation and data.
• Lead weekly/monthly look-ahead meetings with CEI staff and stakeholders.
• Coordinate meetings and ensure contract requirements are met.
• Act as liaison between Contractor and Owner for design-related issues.
• Assist in defense of project claims and contract modifications.
• Coordinate with EOR and erection engineer; monitor pile-driving and rebar placement.
• Ensure ethical use of company resources and adherence to policies.
• Perform additional responsibilities as required.
