Job summary

The Middlesex Corporation is seeking a Civil Superintendent in Meriden, CT to oversee bridge construction field operations, scheduling, and safety compliance. You will manage field planning, supervise crews, coordinate with the Project Manager, and ensure quality workmanship and on-time delivery.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years in civil construction, OSHA 10, and strong leadership and communication skills to drive efficiency and collaboration across subcontractors and team members.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years of successful and progressive experience in civil construction.
• Experience in scheduling, field supervision, quality control, and production of bridge construction phases.
• OSHA 10 certified.

Responsibilities

• Organize and plan the job with the Project Manager and assist as required.
• Direct oversight of time sheets for labor and equipment, and daily reports with quantities.
• Develop and maintain client, subcontractor and team member relationships.
• Maintain and manage the overall bridge schedule.
• Review crew productivity and goals daily.
• Review cost reports monthly and initiate field change requests.
• Enforce safety policies and ensure work adheres to project processes and schedule.
• Provide weekly accountability reports and three-week lookahead plans.
