Wagman Heavy Civil, Inc. is seeking a Bridge Carpenter in Toano, VA. Reporting to direct supervision, the Bridge Carpenter will build forms, pour concrete, and perform bridge demolition and rebuild tasks as part of the project team.
The role requires proficiency with form systems, lumber cutting, and coordinating with crew to meet schedules. This safety-sensitive position participates in drug testing and follows Federal Contractor compliance.
High School graduate or G.E.D. preferred with basic reading and writing skills
3+ experience in bridge carpentry; experience running small equipment is helpful not required; experience with concrete work

We are currently seeking Bridge Carpenter to join our Wagman Heavy Civil, Inc. team. Reporting to direct supervision, the Bridge Carpenter is responsible for carrying out carpentry related duties on bridge demo and rebuild. This includes but is not limited to proficiently executing the building of forms, form systems, pouring concrete, cutting and measuring wood, abutments, overhangs. This position works along with the entire Project Team to plan and support the completion of assigned bridge construction projects and ensures all plans move forward to meet projected deadlines. This is a safety sensitive position requiring work on construction sites with various safety hazards inherent in heavy construction. This position is subject to drug testing and compliance policies associated with our status as a Federal Contractor.
