Jobot is seeking a highly skilled CAD Technician to join our engineering team in Indianapolis, Indiana. You will create detailed designs and plans using CAD software, with a focus on bridge elements and rebar detailing.

Qualifications

• A degree in drafting or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar engineering role.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and other CAD software.
• Proven experience in bridge design and rebar detailing.
• Excellent technical drawing skills with attention to detail.
• Strong knowledge of engineering design principles and construction methods.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under deadlines.
• Proactive approach to learning and developing new skills.

Responsibilities

• Using CAD software to produce detailed designs and technical drawings.
• Collaborating with engineers to translate requirements into plans.
• Designing and detailing bridge structures, including rebar detailing.
• Checking drawings to adhere to specifications and design data.
• Participating in project meetings and providing technical support.
• Ensuring drawings meet quality and safety standards.
• Coordinating with other CAD Technicians to meet deadlines.
• Staying current with CAD software advancements.
