Job summary

The Bridges and Structures Bureau of the Iowa Department of Transportation seeks a Bridge Design Technician in Ames, IA. The role supports CAD workflows, data reporting, and project scheduling within the Bridge Project Development team.

Qualifications

• Experience with CAD design and CAD QA checks.
• Ability to create and maintain project scheduling reports.
• Familiarity with 3D modeling and data management.
• Willingness to learn Bentley Connect CAD software and CAD standards.

Responsibilities

• Administer CAD quality assurance checks and electronic file support.
• Assist tracking and reporting of resources and projects in the scheduling system.
• Review Project Asset ID folders to ensure documentation for completed projects.
• Provide guidance on integrating 3D CONNECT design in the Bridge Bureau.
• Complete special assignments related to reporting/tracking for the Consultant Coordinator.
