Responsibilities

  • Execute brews according to production schedules, recipes, and quality standards.
  • Perform wort production, transfers, yeast handling, dry hopping, filtration support, carbonation, and related cellar operations.
  • Operate and monitor brewhouse, cellar, and centrifuge equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Perform CIP and sanitation procedures in accordance with brewery SOPs and food safety standards.
  • Monitor fermentation activity and assist with troubleshooting process or equipment issues.
  • Support production changeovers, tank management, raw material handling, and inventory awareness.
  • Familiarity with brewery production software such as Brewmaxx is a plus.
  • Collaborate with brewing, packaging, warehouse, maintenance, and quality teams.

THE BIG PICTURE

Maui Brewing Co is seeking an experienced brewer to support brewhouse, cellar, and production activities in a fast-paced, high-volume brewery environment. This position requires strong operational awareness, attention to detail, troubleshooting ability, and the capability to work independently while collaborating across departments to ensure quality, consistency, and efficiency

THE EVERYDAY VIEW
Brewing & Cellar Operations
  • Execute brews according to production schedules, recipes, and quality standards
  • Perform wort production, transfers, yeast handling, dry hopping, filtration support, carbonation, and related cellar operations
  • Operate and monitor brewhouse, cellar, and centrifuge equipment safely and efficiently
  • Perform CIP and sanitation procedures in accordance with brewery SOPs and food safety standards
  • Monitor fermentation activity and assist with troubleshooting process or equipment issues
  • Support production changeovers, tank management, raw material handling, and inventory awareness
  • Quality & Process Support
  • Perform and record basic production and quality measurements using brewery lab and testing equipment
  • Maintain accurate production records, logs, and operational data within brewery software systems
  • Follow quality assurance procedures and support product consistency initiatives
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, operational efficiency, and waste reduction
  • Communicate production concerns, material needs, or scheduling issues proactively
  • Familiarity with brewery production software such as Brewmaxx is a plus
  • Team & Facility Support
  • Collaborate with brewing, packaging, warehouse, maintenance, and quality teams
  • Assist with training and supporting newer team members when needed
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe production environment
  • Support raw material staging, inventory movement, and general production support as required
Requirements

  • Must be 21 years of age or older at the time of application

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Ability to work any shift (mornings, afternoons, overnights) including weekdays and weekends, and possible rotations.
  • Maintain flexibility with schedule, rarely or never outside of adherence to schedule.
  • Able to stand, walk, and be on your feet for prolonged periods
  • Able to read and follow written instructions
  • Able to regularly twist, turn, kneel, climb, stoop, bend, crawl, lift and carry supplies and equipment weighing up to 55 pounds using appropriate techniques and tools
  • Able to safely navigate the tasting room and snack bar areas, including crowded spaces
  • Able to maneuver packages of any weight above 75 pounds with appropriate equipment and/or assistance
  • Able to move 165-pounds, using appropriate techniques and tools
  • Able to work in a factory/production environment which may be loud, slick, humid, cold, and hot
  • Able to work in indoor and outdoor environments with moderate noise and occasionally slippery floors
  • Able to comply with and enforce all health, safety, and personal hygiene policies and standards
