Job summary

Rezolut, LLC is seeking a PRN Breast Ultrasound Technologist for Assured Imaging in Phoenix, AZ. The schedule is PRN, as needed, with pay starting at $40.00 per hour, depending on experience.

The Ultrasound Technologist will perform diagnostic scans under supervision to produce high-quality examinations. The role requires ARRT/ARDMS certification, CPR/BLS, and at least 1 year of breast ultrasound experience.

Qualifications

• ARRT(S)/ ARDMS certification required.
• CPR/BLS certification required.
• Minimum 1 year breast ultrasound experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare exam room and ultrasound equipment for examinations.
• Assist radiologists with ultrasound-guided biopsies and vascular ultrasound.
• Recognize and record anatomy and pathology using sonography.
• Care for sonography equipment and report failures.
• Write reports based on scan results.
• Alert staff of anomalies needing immediate attention.
• Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Job Summary:

Under general supervision and according to established policies and procedures, the Ultrasound Technologist will perform all required diagnostic scanning procedures to produce consistent, high-quality examinations.

Essential Functions of an Ultrasound Technologist:

• Prepare the exam room and ultrasound equipment to conduct examinations.
• Assists radiologists as needed with ultrasound-guided biopsies and vascular ultrasound procedures.
• Recognize and record the appropriate anatomy and pathology using sonographic equipment.
• Properly care for sonography equipment and report equipment failure.
• Write reports based upon scan results and completion.
• Alerts appropriate medical staff of any abnormalities that need immediate attention.
• Manage multiple priorities and projects and display flexibility in a fast-paced work environment.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Work independently or with minimal supervision and as part of a team.

• May carry out additional responsibilities and special projects.
• Must be able to communicate with radiologists and other healthcare providers about images and patient care.

Education and Experience:

• ARRT(S)/ ARDMS Certification
• CPR/ BLS Certification
• Minimum 1 Year Breast Ultrasound Experience Required

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
• Work generally does not involve occupational risk; however, failure to follow established procedures and safety practices could result in minor injury, e.g., minor cuts, needle punctures, bruises from falls on slippery floors, or back injuries sustained while assisting in moving, lifting, or positioning patients, equipment, or materials.
