Job summary

Allina Health is seeking a Plastic Surgeon to repair and reconstruct a wide range of defects across the East Region, based in the St. Paul and Woodbury markets.

The role demands board certification in Plastic Surgery and offers a 1.0 FTE, day-shift schedule with an alternate weekend plan and shared call with the United Plastic Surgery partner. MD/DO with Minnesota license is required; experience in breast and general reconstruction is highly valued.

Qualifications

• MD, DO, or foreign equivalency training required.
• Board certified in Plastic Surgery with 2–3 years' experience; completion of an ACGME Plastic Surgery residency.
• General Plastic Surgery focus with emphasis on Breast and General Reconstruction.
• Interest in Micro-Surgical Breast Reconstruction preferred.
• Breast reconstruction experience.
• Skin cancer reconstruction experience.
• Coordinated reconstruction with orthopedics, vascular and oncology partners.
• BE/BC with ABMS or AOA required.
• Active, non-restricted MN medical license (or ability to obtain).
• Ability to obtain MN DEA certification and National Provider Identifier (NPI).
• Meet credentialing and hospital privileges criteria.

Responsibilities

• Repair, reconstruction or replacement of physical defects involving skin, musculoskeletal, craniomaxillofacial structures, hands and trunk.
• May participate in multidisciplinary case management.
• Utilize quality improvement tools to enhance patient care and workflows.
• Participate in peer review and quality assurance.
