Job summary

Vital Imaging Centers is seeking a licensed Breast Radiologist to join our remote, part-time independent contractor team. You will read screening and diagnostic mammograms, breast ultrasound, and breast MRI from your own location with flexible hours.

Active Florida license and MQSA certification required; malpractice insurance preferred. We offer competitive per-read rates, high-volume coverage, and reliable long-term partnerships.

Qualifications

• Active Florida medical license in good standing.
• MQSA certification/qualifications required to interpret mammography.
• Experience reading screening mammograms, diagnostic mammograms, breast ultrasound, and breast MRI.
• Radiologists who also read general/other modalities are encouraged to apply.
• Preferred: own equipment/workstation setup and active malpractice insurance coverage.

Responsibilities

• Read screening and diagnostic mammograms, breast ultrasound and MRI remotely.
• Provide reliable, high-quality turnaround with flexible part-time coverage.
• Collaborate with Vital Imaging Centers to maintain consistent, high-volume reading.

About Us

Vital Imaging Centers is a high-volume network of outpatient imaging centers seeking experienced, licensed radiologists to join our growing team of independent contractor readers. We offer consistent, high-volume exam coverage and competitive per-read rates across breast imaging modalities, with additional general radiology volume available for qualified candidates.

Position Overview

We are recruiting independent contractor radiologists for remote, part-time coverage. This is a flexible, self-paced opportunity - you tell us the volume you can consistently handle, and we provide it. The more consistent your coverage, the more volume we're able to offer.

What We're Looking For

• Active Florida medical license in good standing
• Current MQSA certification/qualifications required to interpret mammography
• Experience reading screening mammograms, diagnostic mammograms, breast ultrasound, and breast MRI
• Radiologists who also read general/other modalities are encouraged to apply - additional volume is available
• Preferred: own equipment/workstation setup - we're able to work with candidates who don't, based on availability and coverage commitment
• Preferred: active malpractice insurance coverage - we're open to working with candidates who don't, provided a strong commitment to covering our radiology needs
