Our busy and growing breast and melanoma surgery practice is supported by a multidisciplinary team that encompasses all aspects of treatment for breast cancer and melanoma as well as management of patients at high-risk for future breast cancer. This collaboration allows the surgeons to be highly efficient with greater than 80% of surgical consultations resulting in operative management. We have a strong multidisciplinary breast treatment team with dedicated breast imagers, breast reconstructive surgeons, breast medical oncologists and breast radiation oncologists. All complex patients and candidates for neoadjuvant therapy are seen in a multidisciplinary breast clinic.

We have a robust collaborative integrated clinical and research multidisciplinary practice across the full range of cutaneous oncology practice including injectable and cellular therapies as well a robust clinical trial portfolio including investigator-initiated studies. Our multidisciplinary treatment team includes specialty-focused radiologists, medical oncologists and radiation oncologists.

Our surgeons have multiple opportunities for research in these fields which span the range of clinical, translational, and basic science. In parallel, opportunities for academic achievement in the realm of education and innovation also exist. Our center has significant infrastructure and the collaborative atmosphere to support our surgeon’s professional pursuits in these domains. Mayo Clinic is among the leading cancer care providers in the United States and is a distinguished academic medical center. The three shields of the Mayo Clinic represent clinical practice, education, and research. The ideal candidate for this position is an excellent clinical breast surgeon or breast and melanoma surgeon with a passion for providing superlative clinical care while pursuing research, innovation and/or educational achievement.
