Job summary

University Radiology Group is seeking a full-time Breast Biopsy/Mammography Technologist for our East Brunswick Imaging Office. This role performs breast biopsy procedures using stereotactic and vacuum-assisted equipment and ensures QC documentation per MQSA/ACR standards.

3+ years of relevant experience, NJ license, and ARRT(M) certification are required. The position offers a $10,000 sign-on bonus and a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental and life insurance, 401k/pension,

Responsibilities

• Operates and maintains diagnostic, stereotactic and vacuum assisted equipment to perform breast biopsy procedures.
• Maintains required QC documentation for MQSA and ACR including renewal applications and breast pathology correlation.
• Has knowledge of anatomy and physiology related to the procedures performed.
• Maintains knowledge of procedure protocols to assist the radiologist in breast biopsy procedures.
• Maintains required number of mammograms and CME's per MQSA standards.

University Radiology, the largest provider of subspecialty radiology and teleradiology services in NJ, is comprised of over 200 Board Certified radiologists with advanced U.S.-based training and expertise in all modalities and all subspecialty areas. In operation for more than 60 years, University Radiology staffs, manages and provides preliminary and final subspecialty interpretations and consultative support for hospitals, imaging centers and other medical facilities, and serves as the academic radiology faculty at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. Our physicians interpret over 2.1 million radiology procedures per year.

Responsibilities

University Radiology Group is looking for full time Breast Biopsy/Mammography Technologist for our East Brunswick, NJ Imaging Office.

• Operates and maintains all diagnostic, stereotactic and vacuum assisted equipment to perform breast biopsy procedures.
• Maintains required QC documentation for MQSA and ACR including renewal applications and breast pathology correlation.
• Has capable knowledgeof anatomy and physiology related to the procedures performed.
• Maintains knowledge of procedure protocols required to assist the radiologist in performing breast biopsy procedures.
• Maintains required number of mammograms and CME's per MQSA standards.
• Knows the application and location of supply items in department. Maintains stock of department supplies.
• Understands and applies skills to locate patient images for procedures.
• Ensures specimens and associated pathology are handled per protocol.
• May require lifting patients for proper placement onto examination table.
• Collaborates with Breast Biopsy Team to schedule and consent exams.
• Completes all mandatory URG in-service classes annually.
• Assists in training staff as needed.

Mon-Friday 9:30 am - 6:00 pm

*May be required to perform duties in or near areas containing specialized imaging equipment and mustbe able toadhere to all department and facility safety protocols.

Qualifications

• ARRT(R) (M) required
• 3+ years of current experience, including stereotactic biopsy procedures.
• NJ State License and CPR Certification require

Pay Range:

From $40/hr

The rate provided is based on industry standards for candidates with 0 – 5 years of experience. Salary determinations will be made based on numerous factors including but not limited to years of experience, education and operational needs
