Job summary

KSNW is seeking a dynamic assignment editor and digital content producer to cover breaking news and enterprise stories across broadcast, digital, and streaming platforms. You will lead coverage decisions, coordinate crews, and curate content for multiple outlets.

The role requires strong news judgment, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks under deadline pressure. Fluency in English is essential, with Spanish a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism or related field or equivalent experience.
• Fluency in English; Spanish a plus.
• Superior organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
• Ability to lead during breaking news and coordinate across platforms.
• Experience in news operations and digital platforms.
• Proficiency with newsroom, digital, and streaming systems; willingness to learn new tools.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with news team to make coverage decisions.
• Assign, coordinate logistics for story coverage and dispatch crews.
• Assist with newsgathering and research via calls, text, email.
• Mine social media and verify information for the newsroom.
• Coordinate interviews and segments for broadcast and digital platforms.
• Write/publish/edit digital stories for multiple platforms.
• Coordinate streaming coverage and scheduling of live events.
• Keep the newsroom organized and facilitate content sharing between Nexstar stations.
• Lead special event planning and advance credentialing.
