Lizard's Thicket is hiring a Breakfast Cook / Short-Order Cook to join our kitchen team in Columbia, SC. This role involves preparing traditional breakfast items, following our recipe manual, and maintaining quality under pressure to ensure timely service.

You will work early shifts starting around 5 am, with 8–10 hour days, and enjoy benefits for full-time staff. A fast-paced kitchen environment and strong customer service are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience as a cook or in a relevant role preferred.
• Strong customer service and teamwork skills; ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare traditional breakfast foods following recipe manual on grill/oven/waffle iron/toaster/fryers.
• Report to work around 5 am and work 8–10 hour shifts.
• Maintain safe, sanitary food-handling practices and proper storage/inspection of serving areas.
