Job summary

Schulte Hospitality Group is seeking a dynamic Server to join its Pier House Resort and Spa team in Key West, FL. The position offers full-time hours with a base pay of 11.98 USD per hour plus tips, and a comprehensive benefits package.

The role requires a minimum High School education and at least one year in a hotel/restaurant serving capacity. You will greet guests, take orders, and ensure accurate, courteous service in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• High School education required; 1+ year hospitality serving experience preferred.
• Must be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to communicate clearly with guests and team members.
• Cash handling and basic math for making change.

Responsibilities

• Seat guests and take accurate food orders.
• Monitor food distribution and present meals appealingly.
• Ensure proper setup and cleanliness of station.
• Comply with all liquor regulations regarding service to minors and intoxicated guests.
• Know menu items, preparation, and service procedures.
• Total checks, present to guests and process payments.
• Assist with bussing tables and other duties as assigned.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Seats and takes accurate food orders from guests
• Monitor food distribution, ensuring that meals are delivered to the correct recipients and that food is properly prepared and nicely presented and/or the buffet is appealing.
• Checks station before, during and after shift for proper set-up and cleanliness.
• Abide by all State, Federal and Corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverage to minors and intoxicated guests.
• Must be familiar with all menu items, their preparation and service procedure.
• Totals checks, presents to guests and accept payment
• Assists with bussing tables
• Perform various other duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of High School education, post-high school education preferred
• Minimum of one (1) year in hotel/restaurant serving role

KNO WLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Team player

• Ability to communicate effectively verbally
• Ability to exceed expectations of guests and team members
• Ability to operate available equipment, such as cash registers, calculators, etc.
