Job summary

PEG Company in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Breakfast Attendant to prepare breakfast items, greet guests, restock condiments, and keep the dining area neat and inviting.

You will follow recipes, maintain food safety standards, assist with inventory, and handle simple POS when needed. A food handler’s permit and a positive, professional attitude are required; weekend and holiday availability is expected.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Greet guests promptly, warmly, and courteously.
  • Restock and clean condiment areas; manage supplies and trash as needed.
  • Prepare breakfast items according to instructions; ensure proper sanitation and presentation.
  • Bus/clear tables to maintain a clean and inviting dining area.
  • Maintain equipment; troubleshoot, perform preventive maintenance, and report issues.
  • Assist with inventory counts and ordering as requested by management.
  • Follow food handling, safety, and sanitization protocols at all times.
  • Respond to guest requests promptly and professionally.
  • Rotate stock to ensure freshness and quality.

Description

The Breakfast Attendant is responsible for preparing all breakfast items for the buffet to include cutting fresh fruit, heating and plating packaged breakfast items, and replenishing self-serve breakfast items. Follow predetermined recipes to ensure consistent food quality. Serve and present food offerings according to brand guidelines. Ensure breakfast buffet and dining areas are kept neat and clean by promptly cleaning tables, monitoring garbage receptacles and replenishing food and supplies quickly during service.

  • Greet guests promptly, warmly, and courteously.
  • Restock and clean condiment areas, empty trash and recycling as needed.
  • Prepare all food items according to instructions, ensuring proper sanitation methods are used. Ensure food is presented in an appealing manner and according to brand or property standards.
  • Bus/clear tables in dining area to ensure a clean and inviting environment.
  • Keep equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.
  • Assist with inventory counts and ordering as requested by management.
  • Ensure all food handling, safety, and sanitization protocols are followed at all times.
  • Promptly respond to guest with any additional request.
  • Wash and clean any dishes used during service. Clean kitchen area. Rotate stock to ensure freshness and excellent food quality.
  • Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, service stations, and workspaces.
  • Complete pre- and post-shift responsibilities including stocking, cleaning, mopping floors, cleaning service areas.
  • Report any maintenance issues or damaged equipment.
  • Maintain professionalism with coworkers and guests.?

In some locations, made to order food and beverage may be available and may require the associate to:

  • Take orders accurately, seek clarification on special requests, and close transactions with the correct method of payment.
  • Enter orders into the POS system, ensuring special requests are noted accurately.
  • Print closing reports and drop cash according to company guidelines.
  • Other duties may be assigned by management
Requirements
  • Food handler’s permit required
  • Prior experience as a server in a restaurant, café, or hotel environment preferred.

Physical Requirements
  • Must tolerate prolonged periods of standing, walking; occasional kneeling, bending, and stooping.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds as needed to carry trays of food.
  • Must tolerate exposure to cleaning solutions.
