Job summary

Highgate Hotels seeks a Breakfast Attendant for the Hampton Inn Louisville Downtown. You will provide friendly, efficient service in the complimentary breakfast area, maintaining cleanliness and presentation while supporting beverage and food service.

You should be able to interact professionally with guests and team members, follow hotel standards, and handle opening/closing tasks. Prior hospitality experience is helpful; the role requires flexibility across shifts and adherence to safety

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
• Willing and able to work a varied schedule including evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Must meet legal age to serve alcohol and pass a responsible serving course such as TIPs.
• Must obtain and provide Food Handlers card as required by city/county/state.
• Able to read, comprehend and write simple instructions and memos.
• Able to deal with customers and staff with patience, tact and diplomacy.
• Willingness to learn new tasks and provide back-up and support.

Responsibilities

• Approach all encounters with guests in a friendly, courteous and service oriented manner.
• Greet and seat guests in a timely manner and ensure cleanliness of breakfast area.
• Maintain high standards of personal appearance and proper uniform.
• Assist with menu quality control, cleanliness and presentation.
• Clear, reset tables and maintain stocked, organized service areas.
• Support beverage and food service, including washing dishes and restocking.
• Provide knowledge of hotel standards and local area information to guests.
• Carry out opening/closing procedures and side work as assigned.
• Perform cashiering tasks for closing checks and end-of-shift paperwork.
• Prepare and serve coffee, tea, and beverages, including specialty drinks as needed.
