Job summary

Hyatt Place Newark Main Street is seeking a part-time Hotel Breakfast Attendant to set up and maintain the breakfast buffet, greet guests warmly, and ensure clean, well-presented stations. You will restock items, adhere to food safety standards, and support a positive breakfast experience for guests.

The role requires standing for extended periods and may include holidays/weekends. A food sanitation certification is a plus and must be obtained within 90 days.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Food sanitation certification required within 90 days of employment.
• Previous food and beverage or server experience preferred or equivalent training.

Responsibilities

• Set up and maintain breakfast buffet, including preparing food items, arranging displays, replenishing products, and ensuring food safety standards.
• Carry food, dishes, trays, or silverware from pantry to serving counters.
• Wipe tables or seats with dampened cloths.
• Scrape and stack dirty dishes and carry dishes to kitchens for cleaning.
• Clean up spilled food or drinks and remove trash.
• Maintain adequate supplies of items such as glassware, dishes, or trays.
• Stock cabinets or serving areas with condiments and refill condiment containers.
• Locate and provide items requested by guests.
• Clean and polish counters, shelves, walls, furniture, or equipment in pantry or breakfast area.
