Job summary

Midas Hospitality in Durango seeks a friendly Breakfast Attendant for morning shifts to welcome guests, set up and maintain the breakfast area, and ensure a warm, efficient start to every guest's day. No formal experience required, but prior Food & Beverage experience is preferred; training and growth opportunities are available within the hotel brand.

You will follow food safety guidelines, stock supplies, assist guests with questions, and collaborate with the team to keep the dining area clean

Qualifications

• Previous Food & Beverage, restaurant, hospitality, or customer service experience preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of food handling, cleanliness, and sanitation practices.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization.
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work early morning shifts, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.

This role is responsible for creating a positive start to each guests day by preparing, presenting, and maintaining the breakfast area while providing exceptional hospitality and service. The ideal candidate enjoys interacting with guests, takes pride in maintaining a clean and organized environment, and understands the importance of food safety, quality presentation, and excellent customer service.

What You Will Be Doing

• As a Breakfast Attendant, you will oversee the daily setup, presentation, maintenance, and cleanliness of the hotel breakfast area while ensuring an outstanding guest experience.
• Prepare, set up, and maintain the breakfast area according to hotel, brand, and Midas Hospitality standards.
• Greeting guests in a friendly, professional, and welcoming manner.
• Monitor and replenish food, beverages, utensils, dishes, and supplies throughout breakfast service.
• Maintain attractive food displays and ensure all items meet quality and presentation standards.
• Clean and sanitize breakfast areas, tables, countertops, equipment, serving stations, and kitchen areas.
• Wash, organize, and properly store dishes, cookware, utensils, and breakfast equipment.
• Follow all food safety guidelines, sanitation procedures, health department regulations, and company policies.
• Safely operate kitchen equipment and properly use cleaning chemicals according to safety guidelines.
• Maintain inventory of food, beverages, and supplies and communicate ordering needs to management.
• Assist guests by answering questions about the hotel, amenities, local attractions, and surrounding areas.
• Resolve guest concerns promptly or communicate issues to hotel leadership to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Maintain cleanliness of refrigerators, freezers, storage areas, and food preparation spaces.
• Follow lost and found procedures and report maintenance or safety concerns.
• Support additional hotel projects and responsibilities as assigned by leadership.

What You Bring

• Previous Food & Beverage, restaurant, hospitality, or customer service experience preferred but not required.

Physical Requirements

• This position requires frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, lifting, and carrying throughout the workday.
• Candidates should be able to lift and move up to 25 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Work is primarily performed indoors within a hotel environment and may include exposure to wet surfaces, kitchen equipment, cleaning chemicals, and moderate noise levels.
