Job summary

AAA Cooper Transportation, Inc. is an established asset-based carrier with regional coverage and a full service portfolio. We are seeking a Breakbulk Supervisor to help ensure on-time, damage-free deliveries and top-tier customer satisfaction.

As a full-time member of the team, you will plan and schedule deliveries, supervise staff, and enforce DOT safety standards. Benefits include health, retirement, life and disability insurance, paid time off, and tuition reimbursement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 21 years or older.
• Pass DOT pre-employment drug screen and DOT physical.
• Satisfactory background check.
• Pass ACT road test.
• Forklift operator certification.
• Familiar with hazardous materials procedures.
• Comply with federal/state/local safety regulations.
• Read, write, speak and understand English well.
• Basic math (up to 10,000s).
• Operate a motor vehicle safely.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations for your job.
• Understanding of the LTL industry.
• Punctual, meticulous and reliable.
• Computer literate (Excel, Outlook, Word).

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety of all employees.
• Resolve conflicts professionally.
• Advise Terminal Manager on advancement and disciplinary actions.
• Plan deliveries using the Inbound Planning Tool.
• Schedule drivers to meet customer expectations with efficient workloads.
• Communicate with customers and company staff about deliveries.
• Ensure customer requirements are met.
• Enter Customer Pickup Requests.
• Assign pickups to the appropriate driver.

• Be able to operate a motor vehicle safely.
