Job summary

Publix Super Markets in Lakeland, FL is seeking a bakery production associate to support daily operations in our bread production area. You will set up, proof, and bake bread and rolls, slice bread, and operate ovens, proofers, and bread slicers.

You will help keep the production area clean and organized, assisting operators as needed. The role requires strong GMP and safety practices, the ability to lift up to 55 lbs, and the stamina to work in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must demonstrate GMP adherence.
• Must demonstrate safe working habits.
• Must be able to lift in excess of 20 lbs repetitively, 55 lbs occasionally.
• Must be able to push/pull racks up to 100 lbs.

• Ensuring proper weights and lengths of finished products
• Performing and documenting quality inspections of finished product
• Maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the baking production area
• Assisting operators in daily production operations including:
• Setting up, proofing, and baking bread and rolls
• Slicing bread
• Operating ovens, proofers and bread slicers and
• Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

Year End Bonus

To reward associates for their contributions to the company for the calendar year, Publix provides a Holiday Bonus in November. In the first year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to 15 hours of pay, and in the second year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to one week’s pay if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check. In subsequent years, the bonus is equal to two weeks’ pay.
