Alignerr is seeking a detail-oriented Audio Transcript Editor for Brazilian Portuguese to review and correct machine-generated transcripts. You will ensure word-level accuracy, proper punctuation, and precise timestamps, following strict style guidelines.

This remote, flexible contract role targets native speakers in the Brazilian Portuguese language and requires strong listening skills. The work is independent and schedule-flexible, with 10–40 hours per week.

About The Role

What if your sharp ears and precision with language could directly improve how AI understands spoken Portuguese? We're looking for detail-oriented Audio Transcript Editors to review, clean up, and correct machine-generated audio transcripts in Brazilian Portuguese — ensuring every word, timestamp, and formatting detail is exactly right.

Miami and South Florida are home to one of the largest Brazilian Portuguese-speaking communities in the United States, and we're looking for native speakers in this region who are ready to put their language skills to work on meaningful AI projects.

This is a fully remote, flexible contract role. No AI background needed — just native-level Brazilian Portuguese, strong listening skills, and comfort following detailed style and formatting guidelines.

What You'll Do

• Listen to audio recordings and compare them against existing transcripts in Brazilian Portuguese
• Identify and correct errors in transcription — including misspelled words, missing words, incorrect words, and punctuation issues
• Ensure word-level accuracy and verify that timestamps and timing alignments are precise
• Apply detailed style and formatting guidelines consistently across all tasks
• Flag sections with unclear audio, overlapping speakers, or other quality issues
• Maintain high accuracy and consistency across large volumes of transcript data
• Work independently and asynchronously — fully on your own schedule

Who You Are

• Native Brazilian Portuguese speaker with an excellent command of written Portuguese
• Strong listening skills — you can parse spoken language accurately, even when audio quality varies
• Exceptionally detail-oriented with a patient, methodical approach to work
• Comfortable working at the word level — you care about every accent, comma, and timestamp
• Able to follow detailed style guides and formatting rules with precision and consistency
• Self-motivated and reliable when working independently
• Comfortable using web-based tools and audio playback interfaces

Nice to Have

• Experience as a transcriptionist, court reporter, or stenographer
• Background in subtitling, closed captioning, or subtitle editing
• Linguistics training or a degree in language-related fields
• Prior work with annotation platforms, data labeling tools, or AI training workflows
• Experience with audio editing or quality assurance for media content
• Familiarity with transcription software or timing/alignment tools
