Job summary

Amazon’s Device Brand Studio in New York, NY, seeks a Creative Director to own branding and creative execution for a product line or campaign within Amazon Devices. You will lead brand stories across product detail pages, merchandising assets, retail fixtures, and packaging.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in design, an online portfolio, and experience directing motion designers, illustrators, and writers, plus collaborating with technical partners to implement designs.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of design experience.
• Have an available online portfolio.
• Experience art directing motion designers, illustrators, writers and content creators.
• Experience partnering with technical partners for design implementation.

Responsibilities

• Create brand-consistent creative that supports and reinforces our product vision and business objectives.
• Partner with customer and market research teams to translate insights and data into creative that resonates with customers and delivers measurable results.
• Build trust and credibility with stakeholders, peers, and direct reports.
• Advocate for customers and incorporate user research into the creative process.
• Apply strong command of creative methods, tools, and presentation skills.
• Direct a small team of copywriters, visual, retail, and brand designers on day-to-day execution.
• Give feedback and coaching to team members to support their craft growth.
• Coordinate with other internal and external creative teams to keep work aligned and on brand.
