Job summary

Blank Street is seeking a multidisciplinary Brand Designer with exceptional video editing skills for our Brooklyn team. You’ll shape content from concept through delivery with a strong eye for motion, image-making and social formats.

Reporting to the Global Creative Director, this role is 4 days in-person and based out of our Brooklyn, NY office. A 4–6 year track record in brand/multimedia design and proficiency in Premiere Pro, Lightroom, Photoshop and Figma are required.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of experience in brand design, multimedia design or related creative role.
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, Lightroom, Photoshop and Figma; After Effects is a plus.
• Strong portfolio across video editing, image retouching, multimedia content creation, and design.

Responsibilities

• Pre-Production & Content Development: Partner with Creative and Marketing to develop content formats and plan what to capture.
• Social Content Design: Create social-first assets including carousels, collages, image treatments and motion assets.
• Post-Production: Support image retouching, compositing and finishing work; manage selects and feedback.
• Video Editing & Multimedia: Edit video across social, digital, and web; create campaign cutdowns and reactive content.
• Campaign Extension: Scrub campaign footage to identify moments and repurpose content.
• Creative Experimentation: Bring new references and formats to evolve motion and social presence.
• Asset Stewardship: Maintain organized working files and assets for reuse.

Blank Street is looking for a multidisciplinary Brand Designer with exceptional video editing skills and a strong eye for design, image-making and social content.

Reporting to the our Global Creative Director, this role is 4 days in-person and based out of our Brooklyn, NY office.

Who We’re Looking For

• For you to think in motion, not just static. You understand pacing, sequencing, sound and storytelling—and can spot the five seconds buried in an hour of footage that could become a great piece of content.
• For you to be fluent in the language of social. You’re constantly noticing interesting formats, editing techniques and visual ideas and thinking about how they could translate for Blank Street.
• For you to make as well as think. You’re equally comfortable pulling references for an upcoming shoot, opening Premiere to build a cut, jumping into Photoshop to finish an image, or turning a stack of Polaroids into a social post.
• For you to find more in what we make. You can look at the raw material from a campaign, event or shoot and identify creative opportunities beyond the originally briefed deliverables.
• For you to move quickly without losing taste. You know when something needs specialist craft and when the better answer is simply to open the file and make it happen.

What You’ll Own

• Pre-Production & Content Development: Partnering with Creative and Marketing before shoots, launches and events to develop content formats, pull references and determine what we need to capture to bring those ideas to life.
• Social Content Design: Designing social-first assets including carousels, collages, image treatments, motion assets and other formats that extend our campaigns and brand moments.
• Post-Production: Supporting image retouching, compositing and other finishing work internally, while managing selects, retouching notes, feedback rounds and specialist external partners when needed.
• Video Editing & Multimedia: Editing video across social, digital and web, from campaign cutdowns and social edits to reactive content and new executions created from existing footage.
• Campaign Extension: Scrubbing campaign and event footage to identify great moments and proactively finding new ways to turn what we've captured into content.
• Creative Experimentation: Bringing new references, techniques and formats into the team and helping us continually evolve how Blank Street shows up in motion and across social.
• Asset Stewardship: Maintaining organized working files and creative assets so our photography and footage can be easily revisited, repurposed and built upon.

Requirements

• 4–6 years of experience in brand design, multimedia design, content design or a related creative role.
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe Lightroom, Adobe Photoshop and Figma. Working knowledge of Adobe After Effects is a plus.
• Strong portfolio of work across video editing, image retouching, multimedia content creation, and design
• Strong graphic design fundamentals across typography, composition and image-making
• Experience designing and editing content for Instagram, TikTok and other digital channels
• Experience working across campaign photography and video post-production is a plus.

• $100,000 - 110,000 annual salary
