  • End-to-End Event Management: coordinate planning, budgeting, setup, host management, and teardown logistics for Woodlake Market events.
  • Cross-Functional Marketing & Web Coordination: develop promotional strategies and update event content on the resort website and calendars.
  • Operational Alignment: align programming schedules with leadership and store management; coordinate BEOs and menu/product integration.
  • Budgeting & RSVP Tracking: manage event budgets, RSVP caps, and marketing tactics with partners to maximize attendance and ROI.
  • On-Site Leadership: lead on-site during event setup, execution, and post-event strike, ensuring visual/guest-experience standards.

Brand Design Lead

Opportunity

The Brand Design Lead is responsible for developing and executing a curated, elevated and consistent brand expression across Kohler Hospitality programming, signature guest experiences and public-facing spaces. This role serves as the primary coordinator and lead execution owner of Woodlake Market (WLM) event programming, managing events end-to-end – from initial concept, décor, and budget tracking to marketing coordinator, website updates, and on-site execution. Balancing creative design with disciplined project management, purchasing, and event logistics, the role translates strategic brand vision into flawless, guest-facing execution across the resort portfolio.

Specific Responsibilities
Woodlake Market Event Operations
  • End-to-End Event Management: Coordinate and execute the planning, budgeting, setup, host management, and teardown logistics for all Woodlake Market culinary and community events, demos, and seasonal activations.
  • Cross-Functional Marketing & Web Coordination: Partner closely with the Marketing team to develop promotional strategies. Manage and update Woodlake Market event content on the resort website, digital calendars, and guest communication platforms.
  • Operational Alignment: Collaborate directly with Woodlake Market Food & Beverage leadership and Store Management to align programming schedules, staffing, menu/product integration, and Banquet Event Orders (BEOs).
  • Budgeting & RSVP Tracking: Manage individual event budgets, track RSVP caps/ticket sales, and adjust marketing tactics with internal partners to maximize guest attendance and ROI.
  • On-Site Leadership: Serve as the primary lead on-site during event setup, active execution, and coordinate post-event strike with operations team to ensure strict visual/guest-experience standards.
Brand Development & Creative Execution
  • Visual & Spatial Standards: Cultivate a curated, elevated, and cohesive look across resort spaces, pop-up activations, and events while maintaining strict alignment with Kohler Hospitality brand guidelines.
  • Design Guidelines & Playbooks: Develop visual mood boards, styling calendars, merchandising layouts, and brand playbooks that guide operational teams in maintaining public-facing spaces correctly. These are closely aligned with established brand guidelines.
  • Collateral & Touchpoint Design: Coordinate the creative development and delivery of event signage, specialty packaging, custom gifting, window displays, and in-room digital content.
  • Vendor & Maker Relations: Source and direct external artisan vendors, fabricators, and prop makers to execute custom builds and decor elements from concept translation to final delivery.
  • Purchasing & Asset Lifecycle: Oversee department purchasing, including PO creation, order tracking, inventory storage, and asset maintenance for event decor and props.
Experience Development & Brand Activation
  • Signature Experience Portfolio: Manage the planning, execution, and ongoing enhancement of guest-centered resort activations.
  • Multi-Asset Integration: Partner with Operations to weave brand touchpoints into wellness workshops, outdoor activities, culinary masterclasses, and seasonal resort offerings.
  • VIP & Influencer Activations: Under the guidance of the Senior Manager-Hospitality Brand Design, design and manage bespoke itineraries, setups, and gifting for VIP guests, media, and key influencers.
  • Trend Research & Innovation: Continuously research luxury hospitality, retail, and event trends to introduce innovative experience concepts and strategic partner collaborations.
Schedule & Working Hours

Requires regular availability to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays, aligned with scheduled events, peak resort seasons, and program execution.

Skills/Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Event Management, Hospitality, Creative Design, or a related field preferred.
  • An equivalent combination of education, certifications, and relevant experience will be considered.
  • 3+ years of experience in luxury event execution, visual merchandising, brand activations, hospitality marketing, or related fields required.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to be on your feet for extended periods during event days, assist with light event staging/decor setup, and travel between local resort properties.

Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.

The hourly range for this position is $27.25 - $40.85. The specific hourly rate offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including candidate's education and work location.
