Job summary

AM Digital Designs, based in Lawrence, MA, seeks a visionary Design Director to architect brand identities and steer the studio's creative direction. You will define the visual strategy for top-tier accounts, lead design presentations, and defend creative choices to stakeholders to ensure all deliverables meet our rigorous standards.

You will mentor designers, drive design systems in Figma, and partner with Marketing Director and Studio Manager to align output with business goals.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in senior design, art direction, or creative direction within an agency, studio, or high-growth startup environment.
• Elite portfolio demonstrating mastery of typography, layout, complex branding systems, and modern digital product design.
• Deep, hands-on expertise in Figma, Adobe Creative Cloud, and rapid prototyping workflows.

Responsibilities

• Set the Creative Strategy: Develop the visual framework and conceptual direction for full-scale brand identity packages and high-stakes digital products.
• Lead & Mentor the Team: Conduct weekly design critiques, provide 1-on-1 mentorship, and foster creative excellence and psychological safety.
• Client Direction & Pitching: Lead kickoff calls, present major milestones to clients, navigate feedback to ensure delight without scope creep.
• Drive System Architecture: Standardize internal design systems, component libraries in Figma, and template structures for efficiency.
• Cross-functional Leadership: Align creative output with marketing and studio leadership goals.
