This position develops, curates, and edits strategic marketing andcommunications copy for advertising, video scripts, websites,fundraising materials, events, and publications that build brandunderstanding and advance philanthropic, advocacy, and otherinstitutional priorities. The position applies advanced skills anddiscernment in marketing and communications best practices andinstitutional guidelines to create persuasive, brand-alignedcontent that drives long-term engagement across multiple audiences.The position partners across the department, division, and campus,as well as with external vendors, to produce cohesive, on-brandcommunications and identify storytelling opportunities that alignwith university and divisional strategy. During emergency events,the position fulfills appropriate communications-related operationsin coordination with other staff positions in the department,including necessary on-site responsibilities.

Expert writing and storytelling skills, with ample experienceadapting content for print, web, email, and social media platformswhile maintaining tone, voice, and message consistency. Expertproofreading and editing skills. Equivalent to a bachelor's degree in a related field and a minimumof 4 years of relevant experience such as writing marketing and/orpersuasive/promotional brand copy, including philanthropic writingand storytelling required.
May be required to work on-site during emergency events and supportcommunications-related operations outside of normal workingconditions, as assigned.
Sedentary work - Involves mainly sitting. Walkingand standing are minimal. Lifting is limited to lightweight objects(10 pounds or less).
