Job summary

QPS Employment Group is hiring a Maintenance Technician for a company in Elkhorn, WI. The role focuses on preventive maintenance and repair of CNC machines and related equipment across 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, PLC, and servo systems, calibrating components, adhering to LOTO safety, recording maintenance activities, and supporting upgrades. 3–5+ years of experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Maintenance technician with 3–5+ years in manufacturing, preferably CNC.
• Proficient in mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, PLC, and servo systems.
• Able to troubleshoot and repair using schematics and diagnostics.
• Familiar with Fanuc, Haas, Siemens CNC controls.
• Adheres to Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) safety procedures.
• Willing to work varying shifts and overtime as needed.
• Physically able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on CNC machines and related equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, PLC, and servo systems using schematics, manuals, and diagnostic tools.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical and control system issues using appropriate test equipment.
• Calibrate and align machine components to meet precision tolerances.
• Follow all safety procedures, including LOTO protocols.
• Complete assigned preventative maintenance tasks in alignment with production schedules.
• Document maintenance activities, downtime, and parts usage in the maintenance management system.
• Partner with operators and supervisors to identify recurring issues and implement corrective actions.
• Assist with equipment installation, upgrades, and facility improvements.
• Fabricate tooling and fixtures as needed.
• Monitor consumable tooling levels and communicate replenishment needs.
• Maintain a strong sense of urgency, accountability, and safe work practices.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
