Responsibilities

  • Assist customers with deposits, withdrawals, payments, transfers, stop payments, balance inquiries, online banking inquiries, and debit card issues.
  • Process wire transfer requests following documentation, verification, and validation procedures for domestic, international, and FX transfers.
  • Assist with receiving and verifying cash and understand new account opening processes for business and consumer accounts.
  • Perform basic account maintenance and service requests; follow banking policies and internal controls.
  • Conduct OFAC, Biz Chex, and ChexSystems inquiries as required.
  • Participate in branch opening/closing procedures and ongoing compliance training.

Under the direct management of the Branch Manager, the Branch Service Representative II performs a variety of branch operational functions. This individual has a strong understanding of banking products and services designed for both business and consumer customers and is capable of independently handling routine and non‑complex tasks with general guidance from management. Employees are expected to embrace the organization’s mission and values and incorporate them into their daily customer and team interactions.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Serve as a frontline representative of the financial institution, strengthening customer relationships by providing prompt and exceptional service to internal and external customers.
  • Independently respond to and assist customers with routine inquiries and requests.
  • Accurately process teller transactions, including over-the-counter, night drop, courier, and bank-by-mail transactions.
  • Assist customers with deposits, withdrawals, payments, transfers, stop payments, balance inquiries, online banking inquiries, interest rate inquiries, debit card issues, check orders, loan payments, cashier’s checks, and safe deposit access.
  • Process wire transfer requests while following established documentation, verification, and validation procedures for domestic, international, and foreign currency (FX) wire transfers.
  • Assist with receiving and verifying cash.
  • Maintain a general understanding of the new account opening process and required documentation for business and consumer accounts.
  • Perform basic account maintenance and service requests.
  • Follow all applicable banking policies, procedures, operational standards, and security requirements.
  • Adhere to dual-control procedures and other established internal controls.
  • Conduct OFAC, Biz Chex, and ChexSystems inquiries as required.
  • May be responsible for branch opening and closing procedures.
  • Participate in continuous training and professional development related to job responsibilities.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
BACK‑UP RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide backup support for other branch service representatives as needed.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Maintain the highest level of confidentiality regarding customer and financial institution information.
  • Deliver excellent service to both internal and external customers.
  • Complete all required training within established deadlines.
  • Comply with all organizational policies and procedures.
  • Perform duties in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements, including the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Anti‑Money Laundering (AML) requirements, Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) sanctions, Customer Identification Program (CIP) requirements, and other applicable banking regulations.
  • Participate in required and ongoing compliance training.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

Candidates should understand and adhere to applicable state and federal laws and regulations affecting the financial services industry, including the Bank Secrecy Act, USA PATRIOT Act, Anti‑Money Laundering requirements, Customer Identification Program requirements, customer privacy regulations, and the Community Reinvestment Act.
