Job summary

Grainger seeks a Branch Sales Associate to connect with walk-in customers, drive sales opportunities, and support warehouse operations in the Boise branch. You will shift focus between assisting customers and performing warehouse tasks, reporting to the Branch Manager.

The role requires flexibility within branch hours, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and a willingness to learn Grainger’s systems. Grainger offers benefits and a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage the entire customer experience, including product selection, accurate order entry, and safe loading of customer vehicle.
• Look for ways to maximize sales opportunities and encourage customer loyalty.
• Adapt communication style for email, phone, or in person.
• Pick, prepare, and stage will call orders/shipping product.
• Prepare customer backorders and organize stock received.
• Assist with merchandising and showroom replenishment.
• Perform inventory counts and cycle checks.
• Learn and navigate computer systems used for customer-facing and warehouse tasks.
• Keep the branch clean and presentable according to Grainger standards.
• Follow safety guidelines and wear required PPE.

Compensation

The anticipated base pay compensation range for this position is $17-21/hr.

As a Branch Sales Associate, you will provide solutions and easily connect with walk-in customers by using guidance, knowledge, and a winning attitude. You will maximize sales opportunities, create customer loyalty, and exceed customer expectations. Throughout the day, you will need to shift focus fromassistingcustomers to perform a variety of warehouse tasks. You will report to the Branch Manager.

You will:

• Manage the entire customer experience. This includesappropriate productselection,accurateorder entry, safely picking product, and safely loading customer vehicle
• Look for ways to maximize sales opportunities and encourage customer loyalty
• Adapt communication style to differing audiences in email, over phone, or in person
• Pick, prepare, and stage will call orders/shipping product
• Prepare customer backorders and put away other stock received
• Help with merchandising and perform showroom replenishment
• Perform inventory counts
• Learn and easily navigate through different computer systems for customer-facing and warehouse activities
• Perform housekeeping tasks to ensure branch appearance meets Grainger standards.
• Agree to safety guidelines andcomply withall process standards including wearing personal protective equipment
