Job summary

WORLDPAC, a leading automotive parts distributor, is seeking a Branch Operations Manager in West Conshohocken, PA. You will oversee the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of the branch, including asset management and daily operations.

You will interview, hire, train staff, manage budgets, ensure safety compliance, and maintain a customer-service oriented culture. The role requires strong leadership, English fluency, and ability to drive process improvements in a warehouse setting.

Responsibilities

  • Interviewing, hiring and training new team members; performance appraisals and disciplinary actions.
  • Communicates regularly with Regional Operations Manager and HR as needed.
  • Instills a customer service oriented philosophy across the team.
  • Prepares and submits annual operational budget and plans efficient resource use.
  • Ensures safety procedures are followed and addresses safety issues.
  • Coordinates with customers and Branch management to improve services in the area.
  • Delivers orders or handles returns in a safe, courteous manner.

What You Will Contribute At Worldpac
  • Interviewing, hiring and training new team members; conducting performance appraisals, team member counseling and disciplinary actions, addressing complaints and resolving problems when possible.
  • Communicates regularly with the Regional Operations Manager, and Human Resources when needed.
  • Instills and maintains a customer service-oriented philosophy in all conduct to self and other team members.
  • Prepares and submits annual operational budget for approval and develops plans for the efficient use of resources.
  • Participates in planning personnel safety, ensures safety procedures are followed and makes recommendations regarding safety issues.
  • Coordinates with customers and Branch management team to evaluate, promote and provide improved and expanded services in the area.
  • Uses vehicle to deliver orders or pick up returned merchandise in a safe and courteous manner. Other duties may be assigned.
What You Should Have

Education: High school/secondary school diploma or GED equivalent

  • Associates degree preferred
Must-Have Skills
  • At least 4 years of prior leadership experience in a warehouse-related field.
  • At least 1 year of cash handling experience.
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently.
  • Eligible to work in the country in which you are applying for
  • Be available to open and close the warehouse, Monday through Friday, and Saturdays (as needed)
  • Must meet all applicable state/province-specific driver's license requirements prior to driving a company vehicle to perform delivery duties.
  • Ability to perform basic clerical and physical tasks.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and capability of working effectively with others.
  • Ability to read and write comprehensive detailed instructions, correspondence and memos.
  • Proficient in basic math skills.
  • Detail-oriented and strong prioritization skills.
  • Supervisory and time management skills.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables.
  • Comfortable with all aspects of Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel).
  • Extremely organized and demonstrates the ability to prioritize effectively.
  • Understands staffing requirements.
  • Broad understanding of multiple department functions.
  • Have excellent multitasking ability.
  • Willingness to continue to evolve and develop personal skills to meet the changing environment.
  • Demonstrated self-starter and motivated individual.
  • Ability to challenge upwards – respectful pushback.
  • Willingness to learn new skills and gain knowledge about all aspects of the Branch operations.
  • Understanding of P&L.
  • Willing to get powered equipment certification.

  • Bilingual reading/writing/verbal communication skills.
Physical/Work Environment Expectations
  • While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers, reach with arms, talk, and listen. The team member is frequently required to stoop, kneel, and crouch and occasionally required to sit, climb, or balance. The team member must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus.

Worldpac expects to pay a base salary in the range provided on this job posting. Generally, we look to bring in candidates around the 50th percentile of the advertised range. However, this is never a guarantee. Within the range, individual pay will be determined by factors such as job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
