You will work with the Profit Center Manager to uphold standards, train staff, and improve efficiency while ensuring safety and compliance across operations.

Qualifications

• 3 years in rental equipment or construction industries.
• 1 year of Operations Management or related/retail management experience.
• Excellent management and leadership skills.
• Exceptional organization skills.
• Exceptional problem solving skills; able to identify problems and implement corrective actions.
• Excellent knowledge of construction equipment required.
• Ability to effectively communicate.
• Understands basic knowledge of MS Office, Outlook, Internet/Intranet, and Wynne system.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain rental operation standards with the Profit Center Manager.
• Ensure the Profit Center complies with company policies and procedures.
• Maintain customer service levels above standards.
• Train and develop rental operations staff.
• Improve equipment quality and reduce driver loading time.
• Quality control of fleet and manage costs.
• Coach staff to work together and follow a game plan.
• Set clear, measurable objectives for the team.
• Direct staff in store-related roles and motivate them.
• Maximize operational efficiencies; propose process improvements.
• Oversee safety audits and training; ensure OSHA and DOT compliance.
• Manage payroll, scheduling and paperwork for HR administration.
• Explain billing procedures to customers and build trust.
• Assist customers in determining rental needs with product knowledge.
• Manage Yard operations and conduct daily/weekly truck audits.
• Report inventory levels to management and hold daily safety meetings.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe premises.

Job Description Summary

Position Objective:

The PC Operations Manager is responsible for the support of the operations at the PC with focus on customer service, employee development, fleet utilization and maximizing profits.

Position Responsibilities

• Work with Profit Center Manager to develop and maintain rental operation standards
• Ensure the Profit Center is in compliance with company policies and procedures
• Ensure customer service levels are held above standards
• Maintaining a consistent message to be delivered by all customer service team members
• Train and develop rental operations staff
• Quality equipment improvement and reduction of driver time loading
• Quality control of fleet and management of cost associated with rental
• Coach employees to work together and able to create a game plan for employees to follow. Motivates through constant evaluation and review.
• Set clear and measurable objectives for entire team
• Direct various staff members in the performance of their store related positions. Develop, evaluate and motivate staff.
• Maximize operational efficiencies
• Recommend new processes where needed to improve quality and cost
• Responsible for safety audits, safety training, compliance with State and Federal OSHA and DOT regulations.
• Manage human resource administration (payroll/scheduling/paperwork, etc.)
• Explain the billing procedure to customers and develop customer trust and understanding
• Assist customer in determining their rental needs by applying product knowledge
• Responsible for the management of the Yard
• Perform daily and weekly truck audits
• Communicate inventory levels to management
• Hold daily meetings to discuss daily objectives and safety issues
• Maintain well organized and safe premises

Requirements

Education & Experience

• 3 Years in the rental equipment or construction industries.
• 1 Year of Operations Management or related/retail management experience
• Excellent management and leadership skills
• Exceptional organization skills
• Exceptional problem solving skills; able to identify problems and implement corrective actions
• Excellent knowledge of construction equipment required.
• Ability to effectively communicate.
• Understands basic knowledge of MS Office, Outlook, Internet/Intranet, and Wynne system

Base Pay Range: $61,934.00 - 85,159.80

Starting rate of pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience.
