State of South Carolina’s SCDMV seeks an Assistant Branch Supervisor III at the O'Neil Court DMV Branch Office in Columbia, SC. The role leads daily branch operations, service delivery, and staff supervision to ensure timely customer support and compliance with policies.

Responsibilities include supervising personnel, processing motor vehicle transactions, maintaining reports and deposits, and administering CDL-related knowledge tests.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent with relevant experience.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and lead a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word; Phoenix experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as manager-in-training to provide frontline leadership and ensure professional customer inquiries handling.
  • Supervise personnel matters including hiring, performance appraisals, discipline, and time/effort logging.
  • Oversee office operations, cashiering, deposits, and daily reports; ensure security of funds and equipment.
  • Administer knowledge tests for CDL and other driver/vehicle services; respond to inquiries in person/email/phone.
