Northwest Federal Credit Union in Chantilly, VA seeks a Member Service Representative to handle member transactions and advise on credit union solutions, delivering exceptional service and meeting sales goals.

You will process deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and check cashing; maintain policy documentation; support cross-team initiatives; and ensure BSA/regulatory compliance while protecting member assets.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in retail sales or customer service with cash handling.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to interact with all levels and maintain confidentiality.
• Strong problem-solving and sales techniques.

Responsabilités

Overview

The Member Service Representatives facilitate member service transactions and support services to positively impact member experience, sales and service expectations. A key component of this service to external members is to ensure each employee identifies members' financial needs and suggests appropriate Credit Union solutions.

Responsibilities

Working knowledge of the Credit Union's products and servicesMaintain department policy and procedure documentation accordinglyAchieve assigned sales goals by proactively identifying opportunitiesAdhere to all procedures stated in the Credit Union's Member Service Representative policy and proceduresEnsure compliance with operational, security and control policies/procedures, preventing fraud and protecting member assetsProactively identify opportunities to provide product/service solutions to membersAccurately and efficiently process member financial transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments and check cashingProvide exceptional member experiencesProvide operational oversight, support, and resolve escalated requestsWork in partnership with teams across the organization to deliver on projects that improve visibility into the member experienceOther duties as assignedRemains cognizant of and adheres to NWFCU policies and procedures as well as regulations pertaining to the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA)

Qualifications

RequiredHigh school diploma or equivalentMinimum 2 years' experience in retail sales or customer service with cash handling experienceAccuracy and detail orientationEffective oral and written communication skillsWorking knowledge of NWFCU, Federal and state regulations required by the National Credit Union AssociationAbility to interact effectively with all levels of the organization and/or with membersAbility to communicate with tact and diplomacy and to exercise sound judgment, logic and initiative while maintaining member confidentialityEffective problem-solving skillsEffective sales techniquesAbility to use standard banking and office equipment and systems; working knowledge of Microsoft Office productsAbility to work Monday-Thursday 9AM-5PM, Friday 9AM-6PM, and Saturday 9AM-1PM

Base compensation for this role ranges from $21.42 - $36.47 hourly, depending on experience and qualifications.
