EXEMPT
PRIMARY PURPOSE

Manage, direct, and accept overall accountability for the retail performance of the branch including expanding existing customer base and the sales and service cultures. Responsible for onsite operational compliance and internal controls and assure compliance with all laws, regulations and corporate policies by performing the following essential duties.

Level III managers may be differentiated by targeted loan/deposit size (typically $75MM+), marketplace growth potential, expertise in market development, seniority, advanced level of experience, oversight of multiple offices, in addition to other criteria determined by Chief Banking Officer.

The following essential duties do not cover an all-inclusive list of work requirements. Individuals will perform other job-related duties as assigned, including work in other areas to cover absences or otherwise balance the workload.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

1. Demonstrate enhanced product and sales knowledge of all New Peoples Bank products, services, procedures, policies, and appropriate regulatory issues relating to daily job functions including but not limited to: Bank Secrecy Act, Privacy, Fair Lending, Regulation E, deposit, transactions, personal loan accounts, mortgage and equity loan originations, cash management, and electronic services.

2. Direct a relationally oriented market driven customer centric sales culture focused on asset quality and service excellence.

3. Manage and direct implementation of financial center plans to achieve specified loan generation, deposit growth, product sales, cross-selling, relationship development and retention goals.

4. Manage sales processes including customer profiling, target setting, call preparation, coaching and managing results.

5. Communicate weekly goals, evaluate progress, establish weekly calling plans, and coach for targeted relationship development results to sales.

6. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include: training employees, planning, assigning and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems.

7. Manage subordinate supervisors and/or non-supervisory employees in the bank. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units.

8. Conduct regular sales meetings, one-on-one meetings with direct reports and coordinate competitions and campaigns to meet sales goals and objectives.

9. Serve as working manager fulfilling role of RB Supervisor and RB as required.

10. Review and negotiate CD and loan rates, NSF, and late fee waivers. Notify appropriate staff of changes.

11. Responsible for accepting and processing consumer and commercial loan applications within lending limit and New Peoples Bank Loan Policy and Procedures.

12. Oversee collection efforts of self and all branch personnel and loan officers, working closely with the Collections Department to ensure payment on all delinquent accounts.

13. Maintain existing loan portfolio to include but not limited to managing loan exceptions, past due loan balances, updating loan/borrower information, reviewing upcoming maturing notes and gathering information for upcoming renewals.

14. Work with other managers in a team setting to create and develop branch sales, service, and operational standards and policies to maintain consistency between branches for employee and customer experience.

15. Ensure the branch and grounds are maintained such that safe conditions are provided, and appearance reflects professionalism.

16. Ensure that all branch marketing materials such as posters, brochures and rates are current, properly displayed, and that supplies are maintained.

17. Build internal and external relationships through exceptional problem resolution, ownership and follow-through.

18. Represent the bank in the community by participating in civic, service and community organizations.

19. Responsible for ensuring satisfactory audit ratings are achieved at the branch level, including but not limited to: completing and/or supervising the completion of the branch’s monthly internal audit reports and ensuring operating policies and procedures are adhered to.

20. Oversee monthly audits of cash-related operations, including ATMs, vaults, and Relationship Banking Supervisor cash drawers, as applicable. Address discrepancies and implement corrective action as needed.

21. Oversee quarterly security audit and provide requested reports and documentation accordingly. Respond to all audit reports including branch audit.

22. Report all suspicious activity identified in branch to the Bank Security Officer in a prompt manner.

23. Maintain CRA data with accurate and up-to-date information.

24. Attend required Branch Manager meetings and provide requested reports and/or updates.

25. Review and approve donations and sponsorships for outside organizations.

26. Demonstrate and promote high ethical standards and behaviors. Respects, promotes and values diversity.

27. Pursue personal development opportunities to improve knowledge as it relates to the position, compliance, and the Bank in general.

28. Maintain customer confidentially in accordance with New Peoples Bank policies.

29. May serve as a mentor to lower level or newly assigned Branch Managers.

30. Perform related duties and responsibilities as required and assigned.

31. Master the Primary Purpose and Essential Duties of the Branch Manager II Position.

32. Regularly refresh knowledge of and familiarity with online, mobile, electronic and traditional products and services. Regularly practice/rehearse customer conversation and engagement skills around the entire suite of New Peoples Bank products and services. Invite customer respect by demonstrating product and service knowledge and engaging customers around the benefits of using them.

Requirements
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Associate’s Degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school - Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university preferred; or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Five to eight years of business or retail experience required. Management experience required. Must complete required training.
